this movie, similarly to 'two of us,' presents a hypothetical situation between john lennon and beatles' manager brian epstein. it addresses their trip to spain in 1963, which has been subject to a lot of speculation. even today many suspect that john and brian had consummated their relationship (to put it lightly). as for my personal opinion on the film, i'm not sure where to start. i suppose i can start with the good: i REALLY dig ian hart as john lennon. although i think he looked a bit austin powers-y in this one with the shaggy hair and glasses, i really enjoyed how closely he portrayed john's wry and sarcastic personality. david angus is alright too; it's very admirable how they were able to create such a realistic sense of awkwardness and tension between themselves, which is only accurate considering the time period of the movie. overall, i can see where a lot of people would enjoy this film, but i just don't think it's for me. i wish i had more to say against it, but it's really not bad - i just don't really see myself rewatching it for at least a little while.
