Introduction

The Beatles were an English rock band formed in Liverpool during 1960. Members of The Beatles included John Lennon, Paul McCartney, George Harrison, and Ringo Starr. They released 12 studio albums and 3 movies throughout their career as a band before their eventual breakup in 1970.

'The Quarrymen', formed in 1956 by John Lennon, laid out the very first framework for The Beatles' musical career. John enlisted many people including Paul McCartney, George Harrison, Pete Shotton, and Stuart Sutcliffe to join his band and play for local events in Liverpool. By the time The Quarrymen evolved into The Beatles, their performances in Hamburg, Germany had shot them into local stardom. With the help of Brian Epstein, they were able to spread their wings and become one of the most famous and critically acclaimed bands of all time.
